As a first generation Mexican-American, Angelica grew up in southeast Los Angeles, in the cities of Bell and Cudahy, CA. As a teenager Angelica dreamt of seeing the world and spreading her wings beyond the confines of her small town (Cudahy is the second smallest city in Los Angeles County). And so once she she graduated from UCLA and Stanford at 23, Angelica finally had the chance to travel and see the world as a high school maestra. For 7 years from 2016 to 2023, Angelica traveled to so many beautiful places: many states within Mexico, Greece, Turkey, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Aruba! However, she always felt the most joy and freedom in Mexico, her motherland. In 2023 she embarked on a solo sabbatical throughout various states in México, to reconnect with her Latine culture and Mexican motherland.

Angelica created Mujer on the Move, Inc. (MOTM) not only out of a love for her cultura, but a love and desire to share the same level of freedom, joy, and connection with other mujeres like herself. Angelica truly believes in the healing power Latin America brings to many Latinas and mujeres Aventureras. As a mujer, she also understands how important it is to create safe spaces and communities of mujeres when navigating LATAM and the world. Ultimately, created Mujer on the Move is for all Latinas and mujeres aventureras who seek intentional, unique, joyful, and safe travel experiences throughout LATAM.
